We have been exploring art and creativity for mental health for years. And diving into also using art and creativity in policy development, in research inclusion, and in digital health was therefore obvious. So we’re excited to share, that Lars Münter is co-editing a new special issue of Frontiers Public Health with Carina Dantas from SHINE 2Europe with the title of “Creative and Participatory Approaches for Human-Centred Digital Health: Advancing Innovation through Arts, Co-Creation and Lived Experience”

With a deadline of January 18, 2027, this gives plenty of time for dedicated researchers and explorers to submit their papers to this issue that will be building a strong collection of artistic methodologies, design thinking, participatory research, citizen science, co-design, co-creation, living labs, community engagement and other collaborative approaches that actively involve patients, informal carers, healthcare professionals and wider stakeholders throughout the innovation process. process.

This Research Topic seeks to explore how creative approaches can contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of more human-centered digital health solutions.
